Happy 4th of July

We've had a good 4th of July weekend! Yesterday we had some friends over for dinner and we grilled out hamburgers, hot dogs, and corn.

Today we took Avery to the park to play.





Avery and Daddy spotted a cat at the park.







We then decided we would try to take Avery to her 1st fireworks show at the Church at Pinnacle Hills. She did so good listening to the music and watching people until right about 9PM and had had enough. (I think we were the only 2 people who enjoyed hearing "Deep in the Heart of Texas" and were definetly the only ones clapping along.) We saw just a few fireworks and decided to head to car. We watched a few more from the car and then headed home.

In Arkansas it is legal to buy and set off fireworks anywhere. When we got home there was a nice show going on in our neighborhood so we were able to stand outside a little bit longer and watch more fireworks! Avery did really good and I can't believe she stayed up until 10PM!
