We got the hotel around 3 (after a trip to Bucee's) and Avery wanted to go swimming right away. It was a really nice afternoon and both girls had so much fun swimming! After swimming we went down and made s'mores!

The next morning it was rainy. It finally cleared up and we spent the day out by the pool and lazy river. We rented a little covered cabana for the day and had a fun time swimming. Avery and Addi thought it was fun that they could watch cartoons on the TV in the cabana!
Later that afternoon Avery got her face painted in the lobby of the hotel. She was so excited to get a butterfly on her face that matched her swimsuit. She wouldn't let us wash it off that night! She still talks about getting her butterfly.

We woke up the next morning with plans on going to Sea World, but it was pouring down rain. We did a few activities that the hotel had out that morning waiting for the rain to stop. It finally cleared up around 11 and we headed to Sea World.
We ate a quick lunch and planned our day. Avery and Dad are deciding what we should do first!
We watched the dolphin show and during the show it started getting dark again so we knew rain was on the way. You can still see a little bit of the butterfly on Avery's cheek that we couldn't wash off!
Avery was begging to go ride the carousel so we headed that direction and it started raining. Avery got to give Elmo a big hug on the way to the carousel! She was so excited and just walked right up to him.
Addi and I found a covered area and waited for Avery and Dad.
It was raining pretty good after the carousel and the splash pad area was still on and Avery wanted to go play in it. We figured we were already soaking wet, so we just let her run around with her clothes on. She thought it was so much fun!
We went and found some ice cream and took a break from playing out in the rain. This was one side of the stroller and Avery ate that entire ice cream cone!
And here is the other side - Addi was dry and cozy under the sun shade and took a nice long nap.
Addi napped for a good hour and a half in her stroller. I found a place to sit with her while Avery and Dad went and watched the Shamu show and saw the penguins. The rain stopped for awhile and then really picked up as we were heading to feed the dolphins.
Nobody was there feeding the dolphins because of the rain so Avery got to do it twice. We were able to get under a big umbrella where the workers stand and they helped us feed them and told us all about the dolphins.
You can tell Addi just woke up and wasn't too sure about the dolphins.
Avery had the best time! This was the highlight of her Sea World visit. Here she is calling for the dolphins. She would say, "Come here dolphins! I have fishy for you!" She wasn't afraid at all to touch the fish and threw them right in to the dolphins. She told them not to bite her too!
One of the workers called this dolphin up to the ledge so Avery could pet him. She thought that was really neat.
We left the park after feeding the dolphins around 4:30. We weren't there very long, but got to do everything we wanted in the rain! It actually turned out to be perfect once we got over the fact we were soaking wet (besides Addi who stayed dry in her stroller the entire time!) because it wasn't hot or crowded.
We swam a little bit the next morning and then headed back home!

We had a really good first family vacation and are ready to start planning our next one!
