Swim Lessons

Avery took swim lessons at the YMCA the last 2 weeks of June.  She really enjoyed going and got braver in the water every day. Here are a few pictures from the last day when the learned about boat safety.  I think this was her favorite part!

They practiced swimming in their life jackets before the got in the boat.

Here they are in the boat having fun.  Then it started "raining" and the boat starting filling up with water.

When the boat filled up with water they had to swim out and back over to the boat and to hold on to it.  Then they had to wave their arms and call for help to the "helicopter" that was looking for them.  I think this was Avery's favorite part because she thinks Santa comes in a helicopter.  After class she kept asking if Santa was going to come in the helicopter!
