Since our room wasn't ready by check-in time, the front desk sent the girls Mickey Mouses and balloons. As you can see they were super excited! Every time Addi saw Mickey somewhere she would start yelling "Mickey". We heard that a lot during the week!
We had dinner reservations at Chef Mickey's at 5PM. We finally got to our room around 4 and had a few minutes before we needed to head to the monorail. I think Avery's favorite thing to do the whole trip was ride the monorail and since we stayed at the Grand Floridian which is on the monorail, we got to do it every day!
We got to our table and Minnie came right away. Avery wasn't nervous at all and she loved giving them all hugs.
Addi was a little unsure at first, but she warmed up to the characters later in the week. She never cried, but she did give her famous dirty look to most of them.
I had their autograph books ready to go and brought them with us. They had fun getting everyone to sign their books.
The waitress brought Avery and me cupcakes to celebrate our birthdays! Avery was very excited. She got a cupcake or special dessert at almost every meal. (and that's pretty much all she ate at every meal.) She ate at least 3 of those oreo Mickey's too!
After dinner and no naps for the day we came back to the hotel to get ready for bed. The girls were so excited it took them a long time to fall asleep. We also discovered that we could hear the 8PM nightly fireworks from our room. We decided to just keep them up every night until at least a little past 8 because there was no way they would sleep through that noise!
